Don Sharp

Don Sharp

Transitional Pastor

Don and Loretta Sharp are parents of two young adult married children and grandparents of six. Don enjoys his role as Pop to their grandchildren, hiking, biking, baseball, reading, gardening, traveling, history, crossword puzzles and a strong cup of coffee.

Don has 25 years of pastoral experience in five churches in Pennsylvania. He has served as Lead Pastor over 22 years at Kaufman Mennonite Church in Somerset County, and Stumptown Mennonite Church near Lancaster. He also served as interim pastor of three congregations in Lancaster, Pa. since 2013. Included in his pastoral ministry are training and experience in mediation.

As a pastor, Don desires to empower people to be the person God desires them to be. He believes the root of many faith struggles is people not realizing just how much God loves them.

Colin Roynon

Colin Roynon

Associate Pastor for Youth

I have been serving at Beth-El since 2012. Previous to being here I served in a rural church in Maryland, but I must say I prefer the mountains to the ocean! I did my higher education at Bluffton University where I also played soccer, my nickname was Wheels, and participated with the music ministry team Shining Through.

I enjoy spending time with my wife, Jenelle, and our two little girls, outdoor activities and have come to really like slow pitch softball (Probably because it involves a lot less running than playing midfield in soccer). I also watch way too much baseball, try to learn way too many instruments, and want to build way too many cars (hot rods, rat rods, etc.).

Overall I hope to help people, specifically youth, grow closer to Jesus.

Children's Ministry Director

I have been attending Beth-El since 2011 and am new to the staff this year.

My husband Keith and I have three girls and we enjoy spending lots of time with them outside, especially working in our garden and hiking.  I also love to spend any free time I have creating - knitting, sewing, experimenting in the kitchen, fixing up our old house.

I am so thankful to get the chance to lead Children's Ministry at Beth-El and help our children to learn about and to love Jesus.

I have been working in the office at Beth-El since 1998 and thoroughly enjoy this congregation.

When I am not in the office I am often gardening and composting, meeting up with friends, or spending time with Jerry, my wonderful husband. We like to expand our lungs by climbing the hills near our house and singing in the choir. We vacation with our adult children, Chloe and Jacob, as much as possible. We like to watch movies so next time you see me, you can ask which movie we watched last weekend.

I joined the Beth-El Staff in January of 2016.

Originally from Hesston, Kansas, I've now lived in Colorado since early 2015, and am loving every minute of it! I attended Hesston College and Goshen College, studying Communications.

I love cleaning at the church and also enjoy some babysitting on the side. I also spend my free days up at Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp, volunteering in the office. I am still eager to find out what I want to do for the remainder of my life, but for now, being the custodian at Beth-El seems to be the right fit.
